Home and Away exists because our founders, migrant artists themselves, know what it feels like to arrive somewhere new carrying ideas, creativity, and stories, but without the connections or opportunities to bring them to life. We offer creative spaces where migrants and refugees in Liverpool can make art, exhibit it, be heard, and belong, at no cost to them.

We're not chasing the best artist in the room. We want people opening up, sharing how they make things, and finding room to breathe. We use indigenous methodologies and other ways of making art that sit outside the western art-school tradition. Everyone teaches, everyone learns, and everyone leaves a little more connected: to the work, to each other, and to themselves.
